Reality of Being.”
The physical is symbolic.
Everything speaking to us all the time…
We are all in one large con-versing,
turning together…
Total Solar Eclipse of 2017

by Michael S Adler wikipedia
I always treasure our Council Team-mate, Sylvia,
saying about eclipses:
“As the Moon eclipses the too bright light of the Sun,
at first spooky, primeval, daunting…
Then at totality, dazzling, and we begin to see the stars
(and in this case, were we in Tahiti, we would see
Venus Mars and Mercury…
We see what we normally would not…
Let’s play with this…)
The metaphor, is that before an eclipse, feels spooky,
our personal and collective fears arise…..
and then after, we see the stars… we see possibilities
we couldn’t see before.
The eclipse, not visible to most of us…
but feel-able to all, is a precise New Moon
at 10+Cancer, a degree of liberating parody and satire…
Everything worthy deserves an episode of South Park…
I definitely feel satiric,
accompanied by a tidy, toss things out,
rummage, re-arrange the altars impulse,
that feels good…
“Move ten things – change your life.”
Feeling guided by feeling
back into the embrace of kinship…
The Peace of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
