Transcendence and Immanence

Asa Smith’s ‘Illustrated Astronomy’

All homage to Saturn,
that transcendence
and immanence dance together,
“The Power of Limits” (Gyorgy Doczi)
Inward-Outward
Endogenous-Outward Kin

So etymologically
(always a tracking back
to originating spark)
(liberating linguistic archeology)
“transcend,” = “to climb over,”
which gives a kind of Goaty imagery…
just to mix it all up, Trickster style,
and give transcendence some earth traction,
rather than la la la white robed detachment…

May awareness of immanence be
imminent!

1520s, from Middle French imminent (14c.)
and directly from Latin imminentem
(nominative imminens) “overhanging; impending,”
present participle of imminere “to overhang, lean towards,”
hence “be near to,” also… “be at hand, be about to happen,”

The Universe as an Infinite Storm of Beauty:
John Muir on the Transcendent
Interconnectedness of Nature

Article from BrainPickings:

https://www.brainpickings.org/2018/05/10/john-muir-nature-writings/

“When we try to pick out anything by itself,
we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.”
-John Muir

“When we try to pick out anything by itself,
we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.
One fancies a heart like our own must be beating
in every crystal and cell, and we feel like stopping
to speak to the plants and animals as friendly fellow
mountaineers. Nature as a poet, an enthusiastic
workingman, becomes more and more visible
the farther and higher we go;
for the mountains are fountains — beginning places,
however related to sources beyond mortal ken.” -JM

John Muir (Yosemite Park Protector)

“One is constantly reminded of the infinite lavishness
and fertility of Nature — inexhaustible abundance
amid what seems enormous waste. And yet when we
look into any of her operations that lie within reach
of our minds, we learn that no particle of her material
is wasted or worn out. It is eternally flowing from use
to use, beauty to yet higher beauty; and we soon cease
to lament waste and death, and rather rejoice and exult
in the imperishable, unspendable wealth of the universe,
and faithfully watch and wait the reappearance of
everything that melts and fades and dies about us,
feeling sure that its next appearance will be better
and more beautiful than the last.
More and more, in a place like this, we feel ourselves
part of wild Nature, kin to everything.” -JM

Excatly. (and exactly.) Mazbut! Claro!

and more, cause so deftly now:

“The universe would be incomplete without man;
but it would also be incomplete without the smallest
transmicroscopic creature that dwells beyond
our conceitful eyes and knowledge…
The fearfully good, the orthodox, of this laborious
patchwork of modern civilization cry “Heresy” on
every one whose sympathies reach a single hair’s
breadth beyond the boundary epidermis of our
own species. Not content with taking all of earth,
they also claim the celestial country as the only ones
who possess the kind of souls for which that
imponderable empire was planned.”

And East Time Zone beings,
do step outside before we convene, to bathe in
(the celestial translation of Muir’s words)
the Beauty of the Moon (exalted) next to Mars
(strong enough to be gentle) in Taurus,
having been guided by Uranus to the originating
liberating spark of collaborative kinship…
Setting in the Western sky… (West Coast Time team,
will see easily after our convening…)

Jupiter, ca. 1605 (German)

Tis the western rim of the planetarily patterned bucket,
the Eastern Rim being Jupiter at 23+ Sagittarius –
the meandering quest – for kinship, accomplices
whereby to incarnate “the blue bird of happiness,
perched on the gate of a little cottage.”
Out and about – to return home….

And Saturn, boundaries,
is to be honored within and without,
as it trines Mars and the Moon,
sextiles the Sun and Neptune.
Desirable dreams are eager to be invited
into incarnational actuality…

and Yo Team!

Here be John Muir’s chart, who flew into my mind,
as I was conjuring Uranus in Taurus – and look, he was summoned,
eager to join us, Uranus transiting hs Sun in Taurus…
(I was hoping he was a Taurus, and by Jimminy – he is…
ah glorious patterning…)
